Merit shop contractors have worked together to provide a skilled electrical labor force for the Tampa Bay area since 1978, joining Independent Electrical Contractors, Inc. as the Florida West Coast Chapter (FWCC) in 1993. Geographically speaking, FWCC serves Electrical and Systems Contractors and Partners who represent more than 3,500 electrical workers in 10 counties along Florida's Gulf Coast (Citrus County to Sarasota County and inland to Polk County, including the entire Tampa Bay area. IEC, FWCC strives to provide members with the training, education, opportunity, and work force to to be successful Electrical and Systems Contractors. FWCC is one of more than 70 chapters comprising the National Organization (see IECI.org) and is consistently recognized as an award-winning chapter.
